The President emphasized that the only way to make drastic changes in the water sector is digitization.

1,700 online control devices and 12,000 smart water devices were delivered to pumping stations. But there is no information system that collects and analyzes the information obtained from them. Therefore, a Water Management Digitization Center will be established under the Ministry of Water Management. This center will launch a unified information system for water consumption and accounting. Currently, 40 percent of the revenue from the water tax remains with the district water authorities.

However, in 27 districts, the money from the water tax was not transferred to the water supply services. Regional governors were instructed to eliminate this deficiency within a week. From now on, the Ministry of Finance was instructed to ensure the automatic distribution of water tax revenue between the budget and water users. At the meeting, reports of industry officials and proposals of farm managers were heard.
