The example of Dostlik district of Jizzakh region was discussed at the meeting.

The project to transfer water management to a smart system with Chinese investors was completed in the district. Meters and video cameras have been installed at 2,000 points where water is distributed, and it is clear who received how much water. 20 percent of water will be saved through automated management, and another 10 percent due to maintenance of irrigation networks. Water management will be given to the private sector and cooperation will be established with farmers.

Governors of the regions were instructed to study the new system in Dostlik, to introduce the experience of Dostlik in 1 district with heavy and expensive water supply in the region.
