As a result of the introduction of water-saving technologies on 2 million hectares of the republic, 2 billion cubic meters of water were saved last year alone.

More than 50 local enterprises are producing such technologies in our country. However, in all fields reported to have introduced drip irrigation, this system is not working. In Karakalpakstan, 10 billion soums were subsidized for laser leveling, but this money remains unused. The responsible agencies were instructed to establish strict control over the introduction and use of laser leveling, water-saving technologies. The system of subsidizing 1 million soums per hectare of laser leveled land in Karakalpakstan will now be introduced in Khorezm as well. In general, 700 billion soums of subsidies and 2.5 trillion soums of credit will be allocated for water-saving technologies next year.
