Dustlik: a public–private pilot for smart water metering

Presidential Resolution PP-302 of 14 October 2025 launches, from 1 January 2026, a pilot project on water management under a public–private partnership in the Dustlik district of Jizzakh region.

It is carried out by an agricultural producers' cooperative, which invests at least US$21 million, installs 1,804 smart water meters and keeps transparent records of water use for 437 farms. Data flow in real time into the Situation Centre information system linked to the Ministry of Water Resources database.
