Water minister reports to parliament on the digitalisation of the sector

On 11 December 2025 the Legislative Chamber heard a report by the Minister of Water Resources. Over four years Aqlli suv (Smart Water) devices have been installed at 13,254 water-intake points, water flow is monitored at 1,749 pumping stations, and control of 100 large water facilities has been automated — 16 of them in 2025, 125% of the plan.

A Situation Centre has been set up at the ministry and the unified Raqamli suv xoʻjaligi (Digital Water Management) platform has been launched. Plans for 2026 include at least 300 digital water meters on the national border and at least 1,895 on district borders, as well as online flow monitoring at 604 pumping units.
