About the project
Tupolang reservoir is located 1.5 km from the village of Uzun, Surkhandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The reservoir serves irrigation and hydrotechnical purposes. The dam is 410 m long and 180 m high, and the reservoir holds 500 million cubic meters of water.
In the old state of control and measuring devices in the Tupalang reservoir, monitoring work was carried out through the human factor. Through our project, this system was transferred to a fully automatic method without the human factor, pressure and non-pressure piezometers, filtration water detection, hydro posts and weather station monitoring were fully digitized. Currently, this system delivers high-resolution processing data to the user.
The following devices were used in the digitalization of control and measuring devices of the water reservoir. Oscillating wire sensors for measuring water pressure for pressurized piezometers, and vibrating wire sensors for measuring water depth for non-pressurized piezometers, sensors for determining turbidity in filtering water consumption and oscillating wire water level sensors, ultrasonic water consumption installed on hydro posts and water level sensors, barometer for measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature sensors are placed. Devices such as Multiplexer and Datalogger, which receive and transmit data from these sensors, were used.
